Microfluidic Detection of Adenylate Kinase as a Cell Damage Biomarker

In vitro cell cultures are used as models for drug discovery. The detection of damage biomarkers such adenylate kinase (AK) is often in screening and biology experiments. A microfluidic platform AK was developed with the capability detecting resulting from lysis 10–100 human colorectal adenocarcinoma HCT116 cells. For this assay, captured on surface microbeads integrated into a device optically detected using fluorescently labelled anti-AK antibody. Microfluidic technologies have addition been to develop two- three-dimensional culture that potential accelerate detect cells cultivated biochip, demonstrating integration miniaturised biosensor chip.
